My name is Maurice Bedard. I’m the founder of CleanMyAirNow.com. I’m a certified indoor air quality specialist, mold inspector, commercial property inspector, author, and podcaster.
The reason I started this website was that my family became ill as a result of a home we rented in Carlsbad California that had a bad toxic mold infestation. The home was also located within a quarter mile of the Interstate freeway and a mile from the beach.
Little did I know at the time that poor indoor air quality from the toxic mold, and freeway pollution, would make my family sick.
This resulted in a 7-year battle to help save my young son’s life and regain our health. We did everything we could from moving away from that home to moving to the mountains to using HEPA air purifiers and even trying hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
About 7 years ago I decided to get certified as a mold inspector to help other people.
We learned a lot along the way over the last 10 years in my line of work. A lot of the tips and ideas that I share with you on this website, my family has also done or I have experienced in my line of work.
